There are so many things-to-do in the area that you will not have enough time to do everything in a week.  The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is located just 3 miles from the cabin.

Hiking Trails: - there are more than 850 miles of hiking trails traversing the Great Smoky Mountains, here are a few area hikes:

  • Appalachian Trail - the trail runs for 70 miles along the Park's top ridge
  • Alum Cave Trail - a 4.4 mile moderate roundtrip hike.
  • Andrews Bald - 3.6 mile moderate roundtrip hike.
  • Charlies Bunion - this a a strenuous 8-mile roundtrip hike.
  • Laurel Falls - easy 2.5 mile waterfall hike.
  • Grotto Falls - a 2.4 mile waterfall hike through a hemlock forest. 
  • Chasteen Creek Falls - a moderate 4-mile roundtrip hike.
  • Indian Creek Falls - a 1.5 mile roundtrip hike.
  • Abrams Falls (located in Cades Cove) - a 5-mile roundtrip hike that provides the largest water volume of any park fall, and is among the most photogenic. 
  • Ramsey Cascades - is a strenuous 8-mile roundtrip hike to a cascading 100' spectacular waterfall.
  • Rainbow Falls - a moderate and strenuous 5.5-mile roundtrip hike to highest single plunge waterfall in the park (an 80 foot drop).
